What on earth happened?
Our Story
Kyel and Matt met in Houston on a weekend retreat, and quickly found they had a lot in common, not the least of which was their shared love for Jesus Christ, and zeal for the Gospel message. Their families grew close over the following years, enjoying backyard barbecues featuring Matt’s signature “Barely-Grilled Chicken” warmed for four hours over an inadequate bed of dying coals, fancy Christmas dinner with an extended Allmaras family that makes Kyel look like an introverted mute, and a grueling journey through Exodus 90 in which neither Kyel nor Matt cared to mention they were completely neglecting one of the program’s three main components. One fateful day, Kyel called Matt out of the blue and asked if he’d like to start a podcast. The rest, as they say, is history. And the future. Cause the podcast is ongoing. So there will be more to come. But until that day, carry on, my wayward son. For there will be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest, and don’t you cry no more.

Kyel enjoys building Legos with his 3 sons, drinking a glass of wine with his wife, and reading a good book. He recently finished “Green Eggs and Ham”, and is looking forward to tackling “Are You My Mother?” next.
Matt Giardina
Matt is a father of five and a husband of one. He is an architect by day, and asleep by night. His favorite things to do include dusting, disciplining his children, and unpacking suitcases after a family vacation. He and his wife work together as the principal architects of Moment Architects, a full-service architectural firm Matt founded in 2017.
